Mike Verano is the clinical team coordinator for Optima EAP, a licensed therapist, Distance Certified Counselor and cancer survivor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. He is the author of several books on stress and mindfulness and has had articles published in national and international magazines. Mike is a contributing writer to The Health Journal and currently blogs for the cancer magazine CURE. He is a nationally recognized public speaker who has given talks at the U.S. Census Bureau, NASA Kennedy Space Center, NASA Langley Research Center, the World EAPA Conference and The Mindful Business Conference in New York City.

Special Agent William Visnovske is a Certified Fire Investigator with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. In his 25 year career, he has also served as a deputy sheriff, city police officer, state law enforcement officer, and a United States Marine. Special Agent Visnovske is an International Critical Incident Stress Foundation approved instructor. He also works with Dr. Jeff Mitchell conducting research regarding the psychological effects of fatality fires on fire personnel. SA Visnovske volunteers as a specialized peer support team member at the On Site Academy in Massachusetts.

Peter Volkmann, MSW graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Mercy College and received his Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. Because of his vast experience in the different rescue fields and the social work profession, Peter is utilized as a crisis interventionist and trainer for rescue departments, government municipalities, schools, and corporate organizations around the United States who have experienced traumatic events. Peter developed “Law Enforcement Perspectives Course for CISM Enhancement” which is an approved course of ICISF.
