Scholarship Opportunities

The purpose of the Academy of Crisis Intervention Scholarship Fund is to assist members who have been unable to attend ICISF training due to financial constraints.  This scholarship program provides them with the opportunity to offset some of the cost of the 3-day Main Congress registration.

Three+ days of Main Congress begins on Tuesday evening, April 8  with a riveting General Session followed by a Welcome Reception. Main Congress continues on Wednesday. Thursday, and Friday with 6 more General Sessions, each with multiple presentations AND a choice of 6 Breakout Sessions.

Awarded Scholarships include $450.00 off of the member rate (based on time of registration and payment received) as well as a $50.00 credit to the ICISF World Congress Bookstore.

Scholarship Awards & Criteria

The International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) awards scholarships on the basis of a comprehensive process.  Areas that are reviewed by our staff include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Applicant must be an active ICISF member in good standing as of January 1, 2025. 
  2. Applicant must be involved in an occupation or industry that utilizes the ICISF model of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) or in a community/provider service in an occupational field that utilizes CISM.
  3. Two Professional Recommendation Letters citing relevance of requested ICISF training to the applicant’s employment or volunteer service.
